Overview

Here for the first time is a collection of some of the wildest, delicious wild game and fish recipes that Sports Afield magazine has published over the last 110 years. In order to pick out the most mouth-watering and decadent, Sports Afield hired Rebecca Gray, a lifelong food connossieur and author of two best-selling wild game cookbooks, to sift through the archives.
-- In Eat Like A Wild Man, Gray has put together not only a collection of wonderful-tasting old standards, like venison chili, roast pheasant and smoked salmon, but also a fascinating history of wild game cooking, which includes recipes that date back to the early 1900s. Gray has infused all of the above with her own culinary wizardry, and provides meticulous instruction on the very best methods for cooking fish and game, redefining what it means to "eat like a wild man".

    Eat Like A Wild Man

I bought this cookbook as a gift for my daughters boyfriend. He is an true outdoorsman. I wanted to buy him something useful and different and also acknowledges his zest for the outdoors.

He loves the cookbook and uses it regularly. My daughter also enjoys the recipes both the ones she choose to cook herself and the ones offered up to the dinner table by her boyfriend.
