Editorial Reviews

From The Critics
Reviewer:Karen E. Johnson, ADN(Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System)
Description:The book seems to be a very handy reference tool and very easy to follow. I like the way it starts out giving the basics for a quick review and then has a handy tab to access important review areas. I would definitely keep this handy book in my pocket at all times. AND IT FITS MY POCKET!
Purpose:The book's purpose is about exactly what the title is about. "ECG Notes: Interpretation and Management Guide" And YES, those are VERY important objectives, especially for trying to save lives. YES, I think the author did a very good job on meeting her objectives.
Audience:I think the book is written for all those interested parties that practice medicine, whether student, resident, nurse or practitioner. I think the author definitely knows her material and how to present it in a very organized and easy to access way. The author has to be credible to write such a knowledgeable, concise book.
Features:The cover just mentions the majority of the information covered in the book. I particularly liked the test strips. Those are always good to practice on. And the answers are good to find out if you were correct. I like the way the tabs for each area are different colors. It makes for a quicker find. I like the way "Clinical Tips" are outlined in yellow. I didn't realize any shortcomings of the book.
Assessment:If I went to the book store to find a book on ECG Interpretation and Management I would pick this one over any of the others. Mainly because it's small enough to fit in my pocket and it is easy to read and has a wealth of knowledgeable information at my fingertips.

    more from this reviewer

I would not recommend this on the nook, but in paper format. It was a little awkward to navigate on the digital format. Great accurate information.
