Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Povey (coauthor, Pink Floyd: In the Flesh; The Complete Performance History) has made Pink Floyd the focus of his work since the 1980s. His latest is a visually stimulating book filled with information, analysis, and photographs, which deserves to be owned by every fan of the enigmatic progressive rock band. In addition to telling the story of Pink Floyd and its members through conventional text and photos, Povey includes detailed information about concerts, tours, individuals involved in concert production for the band, and discographies for Pink Floyd and the various solo projects and guest appearances with which its members and former members were involved. Like a Pink Floyd concert or album package, this is a multimedia experience; however, it is not all about glitz and style—there is excellent substance here, too. VERDICT An outstanding study and document of the work of a significant band; highly recommended for all popular culture and popular music fans.—James E. Perone, Mount Union Coll., Alliance, OH
