Kelsey Tate comes from sturdy stock. Her great-grandmother Adele endured the sinking of Titanic and made it safely to America, where she not only survived but thrived. Generations later, Kelsey works for the firm Adele founded nearly 100 years ago.

Now facing a hostile takeover, the firm's origins are challenged when new facts emerge about Adele's actions on the night Titanic sank. Kelsey tries to defend the company and the great-grandmother she has long admired, but the stakes are raised when Kelsey's boss is murdered and her own life threatened. Forced to seek help from Cole Thornton, a man Kelsey once loved—and lost, thanks to her success-at-all-costs mentality—she pursues mysteries both past and present. Aided by Cole and strengthened by the faith she'd all but forgotten in her climb up the corporate ladder, Kelsey races the clock to defend her family legacy, her livelihood, and ultimately her life.

ECHOES OF TITANIC by Mindy Starns Clark and John Campbell Clark is an interesting inspirational historical fiction,a stand alone mystery set in 1913 to 2012 New York. “Echoes of Titanic” involves a Titanic survivor, mystery, faith,a legacy, murder, love, secrets, and protecting ones future and life. I liked all the charcters, especially Kelsey Tate who was all business. Gloria,Kelsey’s best friend and worked together until Gloria’s death. I also liked Adele,Kelsey’s great-grandmother,her endurance during her trip to get to America.”Echoes Of Titanic” is a good story that weaves the past with the present and tells the story of things that happened to two cousins on that fateful on the Titanic. Received for an honest review from Wynn-Wynn Media,LLC,Harvest House Publishers, and My Book Addiction and More. RATING: 4 HEAT RATING: SWEET REVIEWED BY: DorothyA,My Book Addiction and More

This was a great book!!! Start to finish. I could not put it down, even when I did I still would think about which cousin survived. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to read something that keeps you on your toes.

Being obsessed with all things TITANIC and murder mysteries I could not put down this work of historical fiction. Clearly, the authors did their research. Titanic passengers Adele and Joycelyn (cousins) embark on an adventurous journey to America - yet only one will survive, bringing with her carefully guarded bearer bonds that will amass into the millions 100 years later. Present day ancestors of both Adele and Joycelyn question the true identity of the Titanic survivor and who is the rightful heir to the bonds. The lust for wealth leads to lies, deceit and murder. The past and the present come together in two tales of love, pride, pain and redemption. Don't miss reading this book!

ECHOES OF TITANIC is a book written during the height of the Titanic anniversary, so I'm a bit behind reading it. It is part historical with Adele and Jocelyn's stories written, and partially contemporary with their heir trying to manage the business. When Kelsey's great-grandmother's identity is questioned, things go into an uproar. Why is a man surfacing NOW to state his claim on half of the business's assets? Why did Kelsey's boss commit suicide -- or was it murder? Who really survived the Titanic's sinking? Adele or Jocelyn? And who is threatening kelsey's life? I love Ms. Clark's books and this one was no exception. I had to find out what happens and stayed up until the wee hours of the morning to see. If you like mystery then pick up ECHOES OF TITANIC and read it for yourself. Great book.

I have always been fascinated with the history of the Titanic & I love reading historical fiction! When I saw 'Echoes of Titanic' advertised on sale as an ebook for only $1.99 & read the book summary & reviews, it was too good to pass up. I was captivated with the dual storyline: Adele of 1912 - the story of her journey aboard the Titanic, her survival, & her legacy of founding Brennan & Tate, a successful firm in the corporate world; and of present day Kelsey, Adele's great grand daughter, who is engulfed in a race against time to prove the authenticity of Adele's identity when it is publically discredited & 'Adele' is accused of being a fraud, of stealing this identity in the tragic events of the Titanic's sinking. From page one onward, I was hooked! The two story lines perfectly inter-syncing to create a spell-binding, edge-of-your-seat story that kept me guessing right up to the end. Each time I thought I had it figured out, another series of twists would occur & stump me once again. I was rivited, staying up into the wee hours of the morning to finish the book. I was not disappointed....touching, memerizing.....I'm still basking in the wonder of it all.

"Hostile takeover," those words are enough to make the most experience CEO's tremble. They make Kelsey Tate tremble and much more, they make her angry! Kelsey is on top of the world, she has just made Brennan and Tate's prestigious "Quarter Club" bringing in twenty-five million dollars worth of business to the company, and Forbes magazine, just named her on their list of "Forty Under Forty to Watch." So all should be great, however her friend Gloria is acting weird, and now some nut job just ruined her reception claiming that her grandmother was a fraud. Yes, Kelsey is angry. To add insult to injury, the word has come out that there is a hostile takeover in the works and the acting CEO of the company has banned her from the property. She is not going to take this lying down. A random phone call from her former boyfriend has them joining forces to figure out what is going on, and to try to find the famous bearer bonds that her Grandmother Adele brought with her during her rescue from the sinking Titanic. However Kelsey isn't sure she will survive this investigation intact, emotionally or physically. Finding out old friends have betrayed her family's company and her grandmother's memory really hurts, and when one of those old friends threatens to kill her, her faith in her judgement is shaken. Will the Brennan and Tate company survive, and remain a family company or will the big conglomerate get the company dirt cheap? Ohh I enjoyed this book immensely! I normally am not overly fond of books that switch back and forth between historical times, but it was fascinating to hear Adele's story on the Titanic and to follow along with how her descendants are going forward in the company she helped to build. A great story with a great plot, you will not want to put this one down!! 385 pages $US 14.99 4 stars This book was provided for review purposes only, no payment was received for this review.

Kelsey Tate is on the rise up in her father’s company, Brennan & Tate, after he suffers a stroke. Then she hears disturbing rumors about her great-grandmother, Adele Brennan, who survived the Titanic, and established the firm 100 years ago. Or did she? Rumors abound that it was actually Jocelyn Brennan who survived and started the business. In addition, a co-worker, Gloria Poole, is found dead by Kelsey. Why? Was she murdered? Or was it suicide? While jostling all these rumors and Gloria’s death, Kelsey is also facing a hostile takeover by Pamela Greeley of Queen’s Fleet Management Group firm, a former classmate of Kelsey’s. Kelsey is forced to rely on her former co-worker and boyfriend, Cole Thornton, to help sort out the mess. Echoes of Titanic is written in a double-story novel format. I loved it. The way it volleys back and forth between the point of view of cousins Adele and Jocelyn Brennan 100 years ago as Titanic passengers and Kelsey’s current troubles at Brennan & Tate keeps you turning the pages to find the truth and see Kelsey’s troubles remedied. Mindy and John Clark do an excellent job of keeping the stakes high as to who actually survived the Titanic and started the firm. Little teasers all along the way bounce you back and forth as to who survived and who Adele really was. They would get you thinking one way, only to turn the tables in the next section. They accomplished this format all the way to the very end of the book! It was also a great story about the conditions and circumstances on Titanic before and after it struck the iceberg. The tension and suspense of the Brennan & Tate issues were also superbly written. Murder, lives in danger, jobs at stake, secrets and rumors, and the scandals about Adele’s true identity continued to keep Kelsey feeling overwhelmed and thinking she was in way over her head. When she was able to get one episode was under control, another would explode, multiplying over and over, leaving Kelsey no choice but to find outside help through Cole. The fires there weren’t going so well there either! Who could she trust? Can she trust God once again? I found myself immersed in the characters as they either embarked on Titanic or worked at Brennan & Tate. The relationship between Adele and Jocelyn was my favorite part, as they encouraged one another as sisters in the Lord as well as cousins. For a new perspective on the lives of people on Titanic and how their lives affected lives years later, be sure to pick up a copy of Echoes of Titanic!

What an awesome, page turning read. Most of the book takes place in 2012, but is connected to the fateful ship Titanic. Mindy Starns Clark does a great job of bring the past and the present together. She has it all in this book! Beginning on the voyage with the cousins Adele and Joceyln and Mr Tad Myers, and the "Love" of the two girls for each other. We come across suicide or murder, betrayal, lost loves, hostile take overs, Ponzie Schemes, break ins. What matters most we will find out is the Love of God and Family. Enjoyed the visit that Kelsey has with her Grandfather Jonah, what a delightful character he is. He is also the son of Adele, the Titanic survivor and matriarchy of the Brennan-Tate Clan. In his kitchen hung a sign that stated "The secret to a happy life is the hanging on and in the letting go." Probably when all the facts are revealed will make a lot of sense. I did enjoy this book and it makes for a wonderful getting lost in book. I received this book from Harvest House Publishing, and was not required to give a positive review.

Even though I prefer plots set in the present, I learn more from historic fiction. This novel offers both the present and the past. Interspersed throughout this contemporary novel are short chapters set 100 years ago, which follow Adele and Jocelyn, two cousins, close as sisters, aboard the Titanic, giving the reader a deeper insight into that historic tragedy. I feel that the balance between the time of Titanic and today are just right. The characters are well-written. I most appreciate Kelsey, a modern-day, sharp, businesswoman. Included are a mystery and a smidgen of romance--something for everyone! The description of the interlocking hat pin has me wanting to begin a collection of them. Most people will enjoy this good read. For reader's reflection or book clubs, discussion questions are included. Thank you to FirstWildCard and Karri James at Harvest House Publishers for my copy.
