About the Author

Professor J. Henry Richardson was a well-known authority on Industrial Relations, with a wide knowledge of economic and labour problems and policies in many countries. He held an appointment for nine years on the permanent diplomatic staff of the International Labour Office in Geneva, where he was technical adviser to international conferences and committees. Professor Richardson was visiting Professor at Columbia University, New York, and during the year 1956-57 was Cassidy Research Visiting Professor in the School of Social Work, University of Toronto.
