They are called Feral Warriors—an elite band of immortals who can change shape at will. Sworn to rid the world of evil, consumed by sorcery and seduction, their wild natures are primed for release . . .
Shattered by recent nightmarish events, Hawke feels his bond with his animal spirit weakening—and once it breaks, he’s finished. The arrival of Faith sends his life spinning even further out of control, for although she delights him and enflames his deepest primal passions, she’s promised to Maxim, the newest Feral Warrior.
Faith is drawn to Hawke from the start, but Maxim holds her in his thrall and has secretly bent her to his malevolent will. Though gravely damaged, Hawke is the only one who can end Faith’s slavery and protect the Feral Warriors from Maxim’s evil designs. But first they both must embrace the wild . . . and surrender body and soul to a forbidden, all-consuming ecstasy.
What a book. Pamela Palmer clearly remains one of my fav authors

Turn on all the lights, cuddle your pillow and hunker down with this dark and meaty story that will make your heart race and your mind scream. It doesn't sound romantic but the hero and heroine have to battle such tremendous odds, the romance is in watching their love conquering all, despite the obstacles.
Ms. Palmer has established a reputation with the Feral Warriors series that not only includes a satisfying happily ever after, but graphic and horrendous descriptions that sear the senses and helps a reader identify with the horrors the main characters have to fight against. Ecstasy Untamed continues that tradition.
If a reader is a fan, then they'll remember that Hawke was caught in a spirit trap in Rapture Untamed,. He didn't escape unscathed and his issues that were hinted at in Hunger Untamed are brought to fruition in Ecstasy Untamed. For a first time reader jumping into the adventure, this book has no problems being a standalone. One thing the author has shown is a skill in recapping the vital parts of past stories that are relevant to the current tale without it ever being an info-dump. A reader will understand in essence, what happened to Hawke and what is happening now.
One thing a new reader cannot know is who Hookeye was. He was the bad guy in the previous book that was responsible for Hawke getting trapped in that spiritual wormhole in the first place. He was casting poisonous spells to suck them all into that sensory deprived space that tears the spirit animal out of the man. What this story does is reveal what the real agenda was and it's both horrifying and exciting.
Ms. Palmer totally set me up. I was all excited when the new guys started showing up because the evil dude that is causing all the problems is getting smarter and smarter minions. The stakes are sky-high and every ally is needed. There are hints that things are not as they should be when the heroine, Faith, is prominently on scene. And that is where having all the lights on is a good idea. Maxim, one of the new Ferals, isn't what he seems. What he reveals and what he does made me sick. I was furious and helpless all at the same time. By the time Ms. Palmer revealed this component of the conflict, I was completely invested in Faith and Hawke. I understood where the author was going to be heading but in no way could I have anticipated how I'd be getting there. My emotions were affected quite effectively.
The author also walked a fine line with keeping all the secondary characters on board. I enjoyed that aspect because of the sense of community and storyline continuation but she also was able to balance their presence to ensure that the relationship between Hawke and Faith was never diluted nor was my attention distracted. There was never any doubt that everything and anything that is said or done or described, happens to enhance the plot, and that the action and conflict revolved around the two main protagonists as it should.
This wasn't an easy book for me to read. It's dark, action filled, suspenseful and heroic. It didn't leave me feeling down because the romance between Hawke and Faith is spectacular. So much wonderful sensual build-up, so much sharing of pain, of hope and character growth -- there is not one aspect the author left untapped.

Ecstasy Untamed in the sixth book in the FERAL WARRIORS series and is the story of the Feral Warrior Hawke. The Feral Warriors are of a race called Therian. The spirit of an animal marks a Therian that the animal spirit considers worthy. The Therian will then notice they have been marked by claw marks appearing on their body. They must then make their way to Feral House, the home of the Feral Warriors - the warriors that protect the Therian race from evil and extinction. Once the newly marked Therian arrives at Feral House, a ceremony is done to bring the warrior into his animal and giving that warrior immortality.
After just recently being saved from the spirit trap, Hawke is having a hard time with his bird half. The Hawke is fighting for control and Hawke is terrified to let that happen after certain events happened with his father, so Hawke is having an internal struggle with his animal. The Feral Warriors just received word that the new Fox has been marked and making his way to Feral House. But with the Fox comes his intended mate, Faith, and a whole lot of trouble.
Faith is a Therian female that has no family or home. She travels to different countries and cities trying to help young girls on the street find their way. She meets Maxim who states that he has been marked as a Feral Warrior and that he is making his way to Feral House. He claims Faith is his intended mate and that he wants Faith to go with him. Being marked as a Feral Warrior is considered a true honor among the Therian race so Faith is intrigued by Maxim and feels a pull towards him so she agrees to go and try things out.
When Faith and Maxim arrive at Feral House, all hell starts breaking loose and chaos erupts. Maxim is a huge arrogant jerk and everyone hates him. Faith is starting to doubt how she can be the mate of such a nasty man. Faith feels an instant connection to Hawke when she meets him and is confused as to how she can be Maxim's mate and so attracted to Hawke. Maxim also notices the instant connection that Faith and Hawke have so Maxim and Hawke are constantly at odds. The Ferals learn that not only were Hawke and Tighe saved from the spirit trap, so were the other 13 animal spirits that were trapped in there. Therians are calling from all over the world claiming they have been marked and are making their way to Feral House. Lyon and the other warriors are ecstatic that they will have more warriors to help fight the evil mage but all is not as it seems.
FERAL WARRIORS is another of my all time favorite series. I've been hooked since the first book, "Desire Untamed" was released. Every book gets better and better. The series is full of action, suspense, plot twists, hot alpha shifters and great romance. Ecstasy Untamed was just that and more. I don't want to say to much about the romance between Hawke and Faith and give things away but I really enjoyed it. I also loved the struggle that Hawke had with his animal.
If you have not read the FERAL WARRIORS series I definitely recommend that you do. Every book can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading the entire series. So much happens in every book that you won't want to miss any of it.
I give "Ecstasy Untamed" 5 out of 5 stars

I just love this series and Ms. Palmer's writing. Each one of her warriors must over come past to gain their happiness and Hawk is not exception. I cannot wait to read the next issue of this series. LOVE THEM and have actually read the book leading up to this one a second time.
Warning. The series must be read in order to fully understand and enjoy the continued story.

Sometimes a writer draws a reader so deep into the story and the characters, the reader feels he/she has become part of the story. This is rare. It happens in this story. Love the series. Want more.

He and his brothers protect the world from the evil that would take over if allowed. He is a shape shifter that is slowly losing his animal and if that happens it will kill him. Hawke needs to find a way to heal the rift between his animal and himself if he has a chance to continue to live and fight at his brothers' sides. With his life completely out of control the last thing he expects is to find a measure of peace but that comes whenever Faith is around him.
Faith is drawn to Hawke in a way she has never experienced before. Though it is Maxim who holds her in thrall and is determined to bend her to his will. Faith is not sure what is going on only that something is wrong and she needs to figure out quickly because whatever is happening it is getting stronger and soon she won't be able to escape it.
Hawke knows there is more going on between Faith and Maxim than he can see. And though Hawke is damaged he is figuring out that he is the only one that can free Faith from Maxim. Now he is going to have to find a way to heal himself so that he can help Faith escape what is coming. Because only together will they be able to fix what is wrong. To do that they will have to embrace the wildness within themselves and surrender to each other.
This is another great story in this series. The stories are much better when read together because while each one has a happily-ever-after the stories are linked together by the story line and the reader might find themselves a little lost with the story line. The premise of the books is very unique and intriguing and will definitely hook the reader on this series. This is one series that shouldn't be missed.

The beginning of the story started off rocky for me; it was dark, painful and I didn't like where it was leading. But boy oh boy did it take me for a ride after that with ample shocking twists!
Following the events of Hunger Untamed, Hawke is struggling with the after-effects of the daemon trap which essentially rips the animal spirit from the man and a shifter cannot live without his animal. Always being the calmer one of the Feral warriors, it was intriguing to see a totally different side of Hawke's character. Playing on the sidelines for most of the series Hawke definitely came front and center in his book and was fleshed out perfectly. He was often times out of control and unstable but when Faith arrives she instantly soothes him, as long as she's near. But Faith is the intended mate of the Feral's new fox shifter, or so they think.
Faith is a Therian who has devoted her life to helping young human women across the world. She was an admirable character and easy to like from the start. While living on her own she happens across Maxim who she is drawn to right away, there was an instant connection that she believed to be the mating bond, but in reality it is something far more sinister. Arriving at Feral house though Faith questions her initial instincts when she meets Hawke, who she has a strong attraction to from the start. Then, as she is around Maxim more and more she knows that there is something wrong there. The scenes between Maxim and Faith were incredibly heart-wrenching; Maxim is a dark and evil character that I felt dirty just reading about. However, when it came to Hawke and Faith hope was brought into the story. Their relationship brought an abundance of suspense, sexual tension and smexy scenes to Ecstasy Untamed and I really thought that they were the perfect fit, building upon each other. They're each fantastic characters apart but together they're incredible.
The Feral Warriors is a deep and intense series, not a light paranormal romance in the least, where every novel builds upon the complex paranormal world Pamela Palmer has created. The Mages are still at it with a new deadly plot to raise Satanan that continues into the next book. (Evil, evil author.) Though the romance was nicely tied up the ending left me craving for more and dying to find out what happens next?!?! Pamela Palmer expands on the Feral Warrior history though, answering a lot of questions readers might have had. The story also includes plenty of past characters and humorous scenes with them, I just love how every character in the series is distinct. This is a series that should be read in order though otherwise you will no doubt be lost.

review:Ecstasy Untamed by Pamela Palmer
4 1/2 stars
This book is the 6th in the series, but the first one I have read. I want to now read the first 5. I liked most of the characters really one I did not like but he was evil.
Faith is imortal but she can die. She was born in Belgium before the world war 1. She looks like a teenager, blue hair and all. Faith realized long ago how many teens are out their lost on the streets, needed help. She right now is trying to work to save two girls age 13, & 15 who no fault of their own are prostitutes. When she runs into Maxim. They feel a bond right away and think they are mates. Maxim is the new feral warrior and he is leaving poland for US tommorow.
When Faith and Maxim arrive at feral house and meet the other warriors, Faith is drawn to Hawk. Maxim does not fit in, in fact he offends most of his brother warriors.
Hawk is wounded badly and has lost control of his animal side and if he doesn't get back he will die. Hawk is drawn to Faith too.
The Warriors protect the world against evil daemons and the mage.
Their are a lot of sex scenes that I wish were not their.
Very well drawn characters and world. I liked the story and wanted to read more. I was given this ebook in exchange of honest review.

I'm not going to spoil it for you and give you any of the answers, but I will tell you this: all that and more is finally answered in Ecstasy Untamed! Something I find really impressive about this series is how Ms. Palmer seems to effortlessly create a completely different hero and heroine for each story. It wouldn't be surprising if all the men were virtual carbon copies of each other, having only different animal spirits and abilities to set them apart, but they are as unique as the animals they embody. And the women! Oh the women are such a pleasure to read about! This is the sixth book in the series, so there are now six distinctly different female personalities (seven if you count Pink, but she's not really that fleshed out... no pun intended). Faith could easily come off as a boring self-sacrificing volunteer worker who swoons for her new man, but she doesn't. Faith has real innate strength and drive, and her own deep-seated insecurities, hidden under that 1,000 watt smile. The Ferals are hot. They always have been and, Ms. Palmer willing, they will continue to be. Hawke is a bird shifter (the Ferals' only flying form) and has always been respectable, intelligent, and loyal. In previous books, I don't remember thinking "man, I really wanna read Hawke's story!" (I most definitely thought that about Jag! Oh how I <3 Jag!!) because, while he was always prominent in the action and a friendly, attractive member of the team, he never stood out for me. Hawke really took on new life in this book and came into his own. Not only is he yummy, smexy goodness, he's got a brain and he's not afraid to use it. We see why he's possibly the luckiest of the Ferals with his ability to fly, and get insight into how the Feral-Spirit shifter bond works. One of the hallmarks of this series is its cliffhanger endings. Ms. Palmer always wraps up the main romance plot and then leaves us with something shocking to worry about for the next 6-12 months. Well Ecstasy Untamed is no different, so if that bothers you, "brace yourself, Effie!" If you DO enjoy the anticipating and the waiting, you won't be disappointed with this ending! If you were thinking that the Feral Warriors series was becoming a little too predictable and formulaic, Ecstasy Untamed will reinvigorate your love for the series. All the things you've been wondering, all the unspoken restrictions you questioned, all the little mysteries we've been teased with throughout the last five books are finally revealed... and some of them are things you may have just taken for granted! This book breaks all the rules and breathes new passion, danger, and intrigue back into one of paranormal romance's best series. Ecstasy Untamed has everything you've been waiting for, and more! If you're a fan of the Feral Warriors series, you do not want to miss Ecstasy Untamed!! Original full available on GraveTells: search for "Ecstasy Untamed" *ARC provided by Netgalley. Tighe and Hawke are released just before their animal spirits are separated from them, but Hawke's return to the his Feral brothers and the Feral House isn't a happy reunion, something is badly wrong, his control of his Hawk Spirit slipping away from him, which makes him a dangerous man to be around as any frustration or anger triggers his change into Feral form (claws and fangs come out).
Faith meets Maxim in Warsaw and follows him to the Feral House as one of the Nine Feral's, the Fox, has died and his animal spirit now inhabits Maxim, she follows him because she feels an unexplainable pull to Maxim knowing she is his. Except Maxim is arrogant and snobbish not anything that Faith normally goes for. And Maxim is nothing like Hawke, when she first meets him the attraction is too tempting and way too strong to ignore... for either of them.
But the trouble is as attracted as Hawke and Faith are to each other, she's Maxim's, no matter what jerk he proves to be, which grates on the should-be-lovers. But that's not all, the Mages are brewing a demonic plan to take down the Feral Brothers to release the Daemons, and their secret weapon has already infiltrated to House.
This story doesn't let go, it keeps grapping you after every solution with another problem until you notice you've been reading for nine hours and you're done... what happened!? I usually can't read on the computer for longer than 3 to 4 hours, but I sat and read like a good girl for 9 hours straight, taking only one break to go to the library. ( you neededn't worry I did feed myself along the way )
Palmer writes in a way that never lets you wander off the pages, when one problem gets fixed another rises and you just can't stop reading wither it's pining for a warrior, keeping secrets or all hell breaking loose! There isn't a dull moment in Ecstasy Untamed! You won't be bored at any point.
This book is seriously addictive! I find myself itching to get the 5 previous books, like right away.
Feral Warriors Hawke and Tighe are caught in a Daemon spirit trap. Hawke fears his death will leave his spirit animal trapped forever just like 17 who died before him; this will leave only seven to fight the Daemon and the Mage. His brethren rescue Hawke who was trapped for a week. Out of character Hawke goes into a rage, changes into his animal nature and flies away. Feral chief Lyon worries and wonders if Hawke is damaged.
In Warsaw two Daemons attack Faith the Therian, but a stranger kills both. Maxim insists she is his mate and they go to America so he can become the next Feral Warrior replacing the dead Fox. Hawke is attracted to Faith as is his spirit. Faith thinks of going home as she wants Hawke but feels an impulsive need for nasty Maxim. The clan conducts the ritual which brings Maxim his spirit animal, a saber tooth tiger, one of the lost. Five new feral arrive. Maxim boasts to her his new Feral will kill the old and she is one of the bad new Warriors. Before he can make her forget as he has been doing, Faith flees to warn Hawke.
This is an excellent urban fantasy (see Rapture Untamed) due to a great twist that serves as a key element in this tale and in the overarching saga. The story line is loaded with action but it is the romantic triangle that makes the tale fun to read. Although the over used villain's boasting costs his side much of the surprise attack, fans will appreciate this exciting entry as the enemy has found a way to take the fight inside the Feral Warriors clan.
