Overview

In this prequel to Delano, we find our hapless hero grappling with his identity in a world of paradox, caught between an authentic place of peace, love and music and a wasteland driven by mindless self-indulgence. The inhabitants of this wasteland include Eddie's hopelessly gullible parents, expedient teachers, useless authority figures, and vicious pets. This time his helpers and guides include a beautiful beatnik recluse and her cynical parrot, a hippie pachuco with the inside track to everything, and Molly the poet. But always in the background, the mechanism of irony played out in a war-driven society. Nothing at all like today.
