Editorial Reviews

E.A Solinas
Poe's writing is what makes even his least story or poem come alive -- he brought a gothic, misty vibrancy to his stories, and could make his quiet dialogue seem utterly chilling (" "I have no name in the regions which I inhabit. I was mortal, but am fiend...").

"Edgar Allan Poe: The Complete Short Story Collection" is a must-have for anyone with an appreciation for great literature and beautiful, dark writing.

Meet the Author

Creator of the modern detective story, innovative architect of the horror genre, and a poet of extraordinary musicality, Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849) remains one of America’s most popular and influential writers. His books of collected tales and poems brim with psychological depth, almost painful intensity, and unexpected — and surprisingly modern — flashes of dark humor and irony.

This is an awesome collection to have in one's own library. Everyone should own Poe works, along with Ohio Blue Tips by Jeanne E. Clark, The Photos In The Closet by Daniel E. Lopez, and works by Alison Townsend.

His writing is classic and so pure that it is difficult for many to truly grasp and comprehend. It is deep and very emotional. Amazing. I gave one as a gift to a Junior High girl and she screamed with joy when she saw it. The significance of his writing cannot be overstated.

Poe is one of the all time best. Extremely cynical and dark stuff. Sometimes hard to read, but worth the effort.
