Overview

Edgar Rice Burroughs wrote these three novels between 1914 and 1929. They are not Tarzan, but they are pretty darn good. Formatted specifically for the NOOK with an interactive table of contents, this volume contains the following unabridged, original stories:
THE LAD AND THE LION
In a remote European kingdom, plotters had moved toward the murder of an old king and his young heir, Michael. But the lad escaped, and, through a series of the chilling, heart-stopping adventures only Edgar Rice Burroughs could have written, finds himself on the shores of Africa, his only friend and protector a giant feral cat. Then one day, Michael and his loyal friend find themselves face to face with the deadliest enemy of all.
THE MAN-EATER
Originally released in 1915 by the title “BEN, KING OF BEASTS” as newspaper serial. This is the story of an inheritance battle of two cousins, a bored and lonely rich man, and a lion who is seeking revenge for the killing of his mate.
THE JUNGLE GIRL (aka THE LAND OF HIDDEN MEN)
Gordon King, wealthy, young, more guts that brains, goes off into the Cambodian jungle for a day hike by himself, looking for ancient ruins. What he finds is far more than what he bargained for.
