A life and death incident takes our young hero, Nate Quarter, away from the phraxmines in the Eastern Woods with his loyal friend, Slip. On the run from Grint Grayle, they head towards the Great Glade and the mystery of Nate's heritage. On the way to his final adventures, Nate stops long enough to add three more friends and a reason to go past the Glade clear to where all the action seems to be happening at the Hive. Nothing plays out like it should which builds to the final climax and causes Nate to examine his priorities and makes critical decisions that leave his friends vulnerable. This action packed adventure driven by strong characters and a plot full of twists and turns until the last page. The size of the book may give readers pause before picking it up, but it reads smoothly and quickly pulls them into a journey of imagination and surprises.     AWESOME

    I have read every other book in the seris and this wraps them all up nicley. it explains the other endings and ties them together so you finnally get to find out what happens to your favorite charectrs. i would recomend this book to anyone who wants a good long read. if you do decide to read it, you should read the other ones in the seris first.

    I know about the "old cover!!!" ; )

    It's the pretty hard-bound cover they used to sell. The gorgeous vintage ones. . .they should sell them again !
