This book had me all over the place. Lexi went through so many emotions, and I was right there with her. She made so many mistakes and felt like she didn't deserve to be forgiven. Thank goodness for a strong man like Pearce. It takes the love of a strong man for her to crawl out of her dark place. And it was dark! Great read with lots of personal struggle.

This book sounded like it could be good, but it really was not good. The writing was so bad, way too much unneccesary swear words, especially the female character. Very unrealistic and the realationship between the couple was very rushed and I found myself skimming over so much of this book because it was just bad!

Not good. Skimmed the whole thing but I don't even know why I didn't just stop. The relationships were shallow. The dialogue was wooden. Even the steamy scenes were boring.

I have a new boyfriend. His name is Pearce. Don't tell my other boyfriends – they get jealous. So…what I love about this book (besides that cover!)- I love Alexia. Though a bit too immature for her age at times, she was a fun character. She's been through some tough times and let them get her down, but ultimately, with the help of a great friend and great guy (my boyfriend) is able to begin to pick herself back up and get her act together again. I love Pearce. Yummy, sexy, rich, sweet, romantic…oh my God, why even go on? He's perfect. He is able to see something good in Alexia and goes after it despite the fact that they come from completely different worlds. He holds onto her when she tries to let go. I love him. I love that although Alexia and Pearce are attracted to each other instantly, their relationship is slow going. Pearce is a little crazy for Alexia, but she needed some time to sort her life out before she can for forward with it, and he was willing to give that to her. I think what I love most about this book, though, is how it shows how diverse A.M. Hargrove is. She has a young adult series with a spinoff adult series. Both of these are in the fantasy/sci-fi genre, and now she throws this one out, which is contemporary adult, completely different, and is just as good as her previous books. I think sometimes it is hard for an author to break the genre barriers successfully, but she has done it. So...here's what I didn't like- Alexia and Pearce together…he is supposed to be mine! This story is sexy and sweet. I knew where it was heading long before the end, but knowing the outcome did not ruin the journey; instead, it made it more delightful to be reading on to see which path the author would take us on to get there. As they say, the journey is half the fun.

True life plots with great characters!

Very poorly written. Lacks strong storyline. I found myself rushing to finish just to see if the story ever improves and was sorely disappointed

This is by far, the worst book I've ever read!

I enjoyed the story, but the writing and dialogue was amateurish. What doctor is going to say 'You mean roofies, the date rape drug' when a cop says rohypnol? I mean, come on. He's a freaking doctor, for Pete's Sake. He knows what roofies are, Also, a lot of story was just convuluted. Having said that, I did like the characters. And I feel that the author will grow with every novel. I suggest she join a critique group of fellow authors, though, as family and friends will not be able to pinpoint areas for real improvement.

My Thoughts: I have enjoyed every book by A.M. Hargrove that I have picked up. They all are well written and have great story lines to them. So when she sent me a copy of a new book, written in a completely new category, one I am getting into lately, how could I NOT want to read it? Alexia has been through the ringer in her life, she really has. She deserves better... and then Pearce enters into her life and everything changes for her. The chemistry between them is undeniable, and I have to say, it is intense. The way he cares for her, with everything she has gone through, it makes you adore him. And, well, he's just sexy anyways, so... *wink, wink* I have to say, my only complaint is that everything happens too quickly. It works for this story, yes, but the whole jumping to the end of the story before the middle of the story can be told can sometimes get old. I suppose it goes back to the whole insta-love issue that most people have with books. Sometimes I'm okay with it, other times I want to punch things. I didn't want to punch things this time around though. Alexia and Pearce deserve a happily ever after, whether it happens super fast or at a slower pace. Edge Of Disaster was well done in every way. A.M. Hargrove has stepped into New Adult and added a great story with everything: a deep back story, wonderful characters, and amazingly steamy romance. I could read some scenes over and over again. Mmm... Overall it was a very good book, I would definitely recommend it to those who like NA and are looking for something new to read. My Rating: Very Good

What an awesome read.  This is a suspenseful and thrilling romance, which had me turning pages with gusto.   I wouldn’t recommend this for younger readers, as it contains quite a bit of adult content.  I usually prefer more of a paranormal/fantasy world, but thoroughly enjoyed the characters, the struggles, the mystery, and the action in this story.  I found this book to be comparable to quite a few of the Sandra Brown books I have read/enjoyed.  Great writing and a great story make this a definite addition to your “to be read” list if you haven’t already read it.  Looking forward to the next book in the series!

Alexia was in a pit of hell when she first met Pearce and he ended up being her salvation. Hargrove again managed to write a book that was well worth reading, with just the right amount of mystery revolving around the romance. I would recommend the book to anyone, well anyone over 18.

The story had potential but the poor editing got annoying. Some sentences were so awkward to read. I think the author was trying to hard to be creative and 'cool' and she failed BIG TIME! Book is a fast read to read in between stories it is not as bad as people have postedd if you're not a grammar Nazi :)

I'm only on page 60, and can't read any more. Very poorly written, typos. It's first person, yet there are italics with her thoughts as well! Duh, it's first person, that's redundant. Not enough feeling, feels wooden like another reviewer stated. Not planning on continuing the read. Gold thing it's free or if be pissed!
