As a niece whose father is not mentioned among the family members - because my father's old sister probably considered him a bit of a black sheep? or, because she was old, hadn't seen her brother for over 60 years and he simply never came to her mind? - I think the book is fairly written. I contacted the author to ask him why my father wasn't named among the Cormack siblings and he said my aunt, Dora Cormack Wight, had not mentioned Gordon Findlay Cormack. He asked me some questions, then said he felt acutely disappointed not to have known about Gordon, as just a few lines would have added some human interest to the book. It is ironic, in view of Uncle John's view, that I converted to Catholicism before I knew anything about him!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
