El concepto de inversión copernicana, nuclear en la obra de Villegas Pacheco, se expone desde un enfoque sistémico que no sólo completa y enriquece el flujo lineal tradicional de información del maestro al alumno, sino que incorpora las propias experiencias de ambos y la toma de información de los registros, especialmente documentales y electrónicos por el alumno, para constituir un intrincado y complejo sistema de relaciones recíprocas de construcción de conocimiento.
La obra reafirma la tesis fundamental de la educación pertinente tanto a las nuevas capacidades de la mente, enriquecida con y por las experiencias del complejo mundo actual como igualmente adecuada a las necesidades y posibilidades de la nueva civilización de la inteligencia, la sociedad del conocimiento y la economía de producción intensiva y automática.
Pero la joya de la corona, que materializa en el aula la tesis de la integración de mente-escuela-sociedad, es el modelo sistémico de aprendizaje que crea un aula más rica en información, conocimiento y creatividad, y complementa, de manera más que satisfactoria, el método tradicional expositivo.
