Editorial Reviews

Drawing from his long residence at Thebes, the center of the Upper Egyptian Scarab market, Newberry (1869-1949) presented a general treatment of the little Egyptian antiquities. About the first half of it discusses overall features. The rest is a catalog of sorts, detailing scarabs illustrated in line drawings of some 500 examples. The original Scarabs was published by Archibald Constable and Co., London. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
