Chapter One Motherhood

The long-awaited day had finally arrived. This was the day God had chosen to make me a mother to six additional children. What an amazing (and scary) responsibility!

Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.

I cannot say that I ever dreamed of becoming a mom to eight little faces, eight big personalities ... eight amazing children! Now that I am here, I feel more blessed than I deserve, more loved than I had hoped, and more content than I thought possible. To God be the glory indeed!

    Terrible 'Writing' Skills

    This book was just awful. It shouldn't have even been called a "book", should have been a "scrapbook" or such. Nothing but pictures of 'someones' kids (exploitation to the max!!) & bible verses!! Good thing I received it as a gift, because I would not have paid one red cent for it. I reserve my buying power for authentic authors with authentic writing skills!
    Don't waste your time or money!!

    more families should be so put together

    I am one of those crazies that was devistated when they said that the show was over for the season. I am happy that Kate writes books. I am waiting for the one that Jon ands Kate gives helpfull info on thier great parenting techniques. I have 6 children and I find myself saying, I wish I had it all together like Jon and Kate. I know now her life is much easier because of the monies they make but it wasn't always like this and she still had it all together. Not perfect but pretty darn close. Lets face it whoever thinks its awfull about her putting pictures of her kids out there. We all know what they look like even if we are not lovers of their show. Get a grip people your just jealous of it all and if you don't have something nice to say about them don't say anything. We who do love the show and try to learn from their life want just that and now look at what ( you people ) are doing, making them feel as if they shouldn't do the show anymore because of your mean and resentfull actions. Just go watch your rotten shows that you will like to and leave ours alone and any way what are you doing looking at this book any way you hate it so go look for ones that you will like and leave Jon and Kates books alone. There has to be some calmness and kindness out there because there is deffinantly enough of the other stuff for all of you who would rather that. Our kids are living in a world of hate and rotten people and we need a little of the way Jon and Kates lives are for them so they don't have to turn out rotten. Kids little lives are stollen by having to grow up so fast and I just think lets just slow down and watch Jon and Kate Plus Eight and read their books when its nice and quiet after the kids go to bed.

    This book is a waste of money

    i got this book and is very short and a waste of money.Only 42 pages.It tells you everything that was in multiple blessings shortened into a pharagraph a page.I read it in 5 minutes in the car on the way back from the store.

    I wonder if the 8 Little Faces wanted to be written about

    Kate proclaims that she is all about her children yet i wonder, after watching most of the episodes each season, if her children really want to be filmed during every aspect of their lives - i would imagine as they get older they are not going to be so keen on having their tantrums and potty training exposed to the whole world. Kate relies heavily on Bible verses to cement the idea that she is raising her children with a solid religious foundation yet there is never any mention of them attending church or being part of a church family since season 1 ended. if she were really writing from the heart i would not object, but i feel she is doing these books to raise capital to support her lifestyle. hopefully she will not be writing books when they are teens about the damage control she has to employ because of their early years on film and in print.

    A Big Disappointment

    After reading Multiple Blessings, I expected a lot more from this book. I must say that the pictures are awesome and make it worth keeping, there is way too little content. I wanted to know a lot more, but I didn't learn anything I didn't already know.

    WAS SO SO....

    i liked her first book better.i returned this.i liked the pictures but she couldve at least wrote more.it was like for a small child this book.

    Disappointing

    I have been a big fan of the show for a long time, but found this book fell short. Basically it is just pictures of the kids with a few sentences. It is not really a book you read. Would not buy it again nor would I recommend it to others. A waste.

    BIGGEST FAN ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!! I am the BIGGEST fan alive! I've seen every episode, can tell them apart, and I just love them. They are all sooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!

    Pictures and Quotes

    I always enjoy seeing a mother's thoughts on her children, and coupling them with Bible verses and the adorable pictures makes it that much more enjoyable.

    Thought it was going to be about each child.

    While the photos were very cute, I was a little disappointed because I was thinking it was going to be about the children - 8 Little Faces. This was a gift for my mother who adores the show and she thought it was cute but for the money I wish it would have been more about the children.
