Got $5000 in financial aid because of this book

I submitted the financial aid forms for my son before learning about this book on the Tom Joyner Radio Show. When my son's financial aid offer came in the mail, it was all loans and NOT grant money. I brought this book, read it and learned that it was possible to negotiate with college financial aid officers and get a better deal. I was able to get $5000 more in grant money, which means he will have less debt when he graduates. Not bad for a $9 investment. I strongly recommend this book!

    Entertaining and down to earth

I enjoyed this book. The authors are two brothers who weaved a story about their sons into a book about college financial aid, which is usually a very boring topic. Very creative! They managed to entertain AND educate.

"Sapiens Qui Prospicit" - Wise Is The Person Who Looks Ahead

Wise Is The Person Who Looks Ahead. This book addresses many contemporary issues in a very unusual fashion. Highly recommended reading for the parent who is interested in funding a college education. This reader questions the wisdom of why these steps are limited just to people of colour, and would encourage anyone to employ the eight salient steps in preparation and promulgation for the higher learning experience.

    Now I understand financial aid!

This book really helped me get an understanding of how financial aid works. It came just in time for me to apply this year. I think the two brothers that wrote this book about their sons going to college were very clever and informative. Tom Joyner's support of black students going to college is just outstanding. This book is a must read.
