Werner Müller wurde 1959 in Tönisvorst geboren. Nach Stationen in den Städten Castrop-Rauxel und Dorsten, sowie Tuttlingen und Stuttgart, wohnt er heute in Berlin. Müller arbeitet nun in seinem angestammten Beruf als gelernter Feingelenke-Mechaniker. Er ist seit Jahren Mitglied der SPD und gedenkt – trotz seiner kritischen Haltung – nicht auszutreten. Mit dem ehemaligen Wirtschaftsminister gleichen Namens ist er weder verwandt noch verschwägert.
