Alexander Ahndoril (Estocolm, 1967) i Alexandra Coelho Ahndoril (Helsingborg, 1966) van amagar-se sota el pseudònim Lars Kepler quan van escriure L?hipnotitzador, però l?èxit aclaparador de la seva primera novel·la conjunta va fer que es decidissin a sortir a la llum. Tots dos havien escrit abans diverses novel·les i obres de teatre, però ha estat amb els llibres protagonitzats per Joona Linna, traduïts a més de 30 llengües, que han aconseguit l?èxit internacional. Estan casats i tenen tres filles.
