PreS-2

Each of these volumes brings together four traditional folktales previously published by Orihuela with the new added bonus of a CD. The books are illustrated by a variety of artists, whose styles range from cartoon like to vibrant and intricate. Pages are framed with decorative designs that reinforce each story's individual elements. The narrators are native Spanish speakers, and they give their own personal interpretations of the tales that feature changes in moods, and different levels of excitement at the appropriate times. Children will surely enjoy these tales with or without the CDs. Recommended for all elementary and public libraries.Veronica Covington, Univ. of Texas, Austin.
