Eldoria: A Step through the Thicket [NOOK Book]

Overview

For as long as she could remember, fourteen-year-old Morgan Campbell had been interested in one thing, and one thing alone... magic. Not magic in the sense of pulling rabbits from hats or astounding people with amazing card tricks. No, the sort of magic that fascinated Morgan Campbell was something far more mysterious and inexplicable than that. Maybe it had something to do with her nearly floor-length hair which grew so quickly, it required almost daily trimming. Or perhaps it was her oddly mismatched eyes, with...

Or perhaps it was her oddly mismatched eyes, with a nearly transparent one requiring concealment at all times from her fellow classmates. All she knew for certain was that magic was a part of her very being, and she would not rest until she found out why. An ocean away, someone actually knew the reason why… and was waiting to tell her all about it.

Everything Quinn Ramsey had learned in his sixteen-year existence concerned life within the shores of Eldoria, a mystical island located somewhere among the Scottish Isles. Eldoria is not a place created by nature, but at the hands of one of the world’s most powerful wizards, Sanders Sloane. Every inhabitant of the island, whether it be human, beast or plant, serves a very specific and magical purpose meant to create a utopian community protected from the destructive behavior of the world around it. But when humans are involved, is such a perfect world ever truly possible? Quinn Ramsey knows the frightening answer to that question, as well as the secret to Eldoria’s future survival. Her name is Morgan Campbell, and she is about to learn everything she could possibly have ever wanted to know about her true identity.

Meet the Author

As her twin daughters were growing up in suburban Boston, Michele Bussiere enjoyed weaving tales for their daily entertainment. One story in particular she began telling them at the start of one summer vacation, adding to it a little more each day until eventually coming to the realization that she had created the basis for a novel series known as Eldoria. The first of what Michele has planned as an eventual six-volume series is titled A Step through the Thicket, and it is her hope that fantasy fiction fans of all ages will enjoy following along on her journey of bringing those summer characters and adventures to life on the written page.

When not hard at work realizing her lifelong dream of becoming a published novelist, Michele enjoys hiking with her daughters, going to see live music and movies with friends, taking yoga classes, watching sports and of course, reading books.

Michele welcomes all comments and suggestions, and would love to hear from readers either through her Facebook page at www.facebook.com/bussieremichele or by following her on Twitter at www.twitter.com/micheleb111.
