Thoroughly updated based on the 2002 National Electrical Code®, with renewed attention to safe wiring practices, this edition of Electrical Wiring - Industrial guides readers, step-by-step, through the wiring of an entire industrial building. As they progress through the book, readers gain first-hand knowledge of all of the responsibilities of today's professional industrial electricians, including: installation of electrical service, power and lighting; special new construction systems; changeovers from old systems; planning for growth and increased capacity; and periodic maintenance procedures. In addition to explaining basic electrical principles and introducing readers to tools and equipment, this edition features expanded coverage of power factor, ballasts, and calculations for determining the correct level of illumination.
