In order to increase the resolution of electron spin resonance (ESR) in studying the structure of paramagnetic particles and processes in solids, different modifications of the method have been proposed, among them the pulsed ESR spectroscopy and, primarily, the electron spin echo (ESE). The present volume consists of three parts. The first section deals with the basic principles of ESE and ESEEM, the second analyzes the properties of ESEEM spectroscopy in orientationally disordered systems, and the third section is devoted to the results of the application of ESEEM spectroscopy in the study of paramagnetic centers in various solids and in biological and heterogeneous systems.
