School Library Journal - School Library Journal
Gr 3-5This book touches on the many ways in which humans communicate electronically. It briefly describes the invention of the telegraph and Morse code and then progressively introduces radio, television, satellites, faxes, and the Internet. Full-color drawings and photographs accompany the text; most are helpful. However, a few illustrations may cause confusion such as the graphic representation of the light code used in an optical fiber. On the whole, this cursory overview is mediocre and could easily be passed by.Katherine Borchert, Arlington Central Library, VA
