More About This Textbook
Overview
Electronic Media Law is written for mass media students, not for future lawyers, so the text is straightforward and explains "legalese." The author covers First Amendment law, political broadcasting rules, broadcast content regulations, FCC rules for station operations, cable regulation, media ownership rules, media liability lawsuits, intrusive newsgathering methods, media restrictions during wartime, libel, privacy, copyright, advertising law, freedom of information, cameras in the court, and privilege.

Journal of the Commongwealth Lawyer's Association
"Though written primarily for an American audience, this book is likely to be useful to students, practitioners and researchers in other jurisdictions as well. It covers a wide range of issues such as defamation, privacy, obscenity, copyright and contempt of court which are generic to all media as well as matters specific to the electronic media, such as TV regulation, "must-carry" rules, radio traffic jams, etc. "— The Commonwealth LawyerJournal of the Commongwealth Lawyer's Association - The Commonwealth Lawyer
