Great for Beginning Writers or Anyone Who Needs a Quick Review

Blake and Bly have written a concise handbook that gives rules and suggestions for English usage in technical writing. It's very helpful for anyone who hasn't learned, or can't quite remember, what the rules are.

    Okay for Grammar Generalities

For me, this book was a let down. I was expecting to find tips regarding block diagrams, schematics, tables, charts, spec sheets, outline layouts, warning and caution symbols, screen shots, and advice regarding electronic documents. None of these aspects are covered. Writing examples are of letters, not technical manual pages. This is really a book on 'technical grammar.'
