Jack Blaine and his best buddy, Joe, spend hours a week at a local pizza place after discussing their own failing mortality at weekly support group meetings. Frustrated by a system that allows child molesters to live freely among law-abiding citizens with seemingly little or no remorse, they talk endlessly about what could be done. When they decide to take justice into their own hands and to do something more than just complain, though, they begin treading at the edge of the law and going beyond.
With a little bit of divine intervention, they bring personal justice to families and children who have had their lives destroyed by sex off enders-men who continue to live freely, able to do unconscionable things again. As they continue on their mission, the number of murders begins to attract the attention of the local police and ultimately the FBI. Now it's simply a matter of time before they must stop dispensing vigilante justice or else be caught.
The Eleventh Commandment is an unforgettable story of what happens when everyday citizens take the law into their own hands.
Everyone knows the 10 Commandments but this Eleventh Commandment I never heard of until know. The story unfolds about sexual predators who are listed on a website and how many times they were convicted and the age of the victims. Part two of the story is about terminally ill people who only have weeks or months to live and how they are going to live their lives to the fullest. Are they going skydiving? or Mountain climbing? No maybe a trip around the world? No - Not even close. Without being a spoiler read this outstanding and innovative story about the Eleventh Commandment because Edwin Becker can tell a story like no one can! All of Edwin Becker's books are excellent and I highly recommend Banished: A Demon, an Exorcist and A Battle of Faith with the most incredible ending I've ever read! AND my all time favorite True Haunting which is the scariest true story I've ever read and my favorite book of all time!

In this day and age when we have created a world where our children have become prey to predators and we even have leashes so they will not leave our sight, this book hits the nail on head. You will find yourself cheering and wishing these characters really existed! Unfortunately, we have created a system where this is the only solution. Bravo! A must read for every parent.
