Meet the Author

#1 New York Times and USA TODAY Bestselling Author Jennifer L. Armentrout lives in West Virginia. All the rumors you've heard about her state aren't true. Well, mostly. Read this after Deity and before Apollyon, trust me! It explains what Alex goes through after Awakening and when you start reading Apollyon, many things will make more sense. It's a quick read but definitely worth every penny!

Elixir picks up immediately following the events that occurred at the end of Deity and is told from Aiden’s point of view.  Alex has awakened and is now a full fledged Apollyon.  Despite their attempts to prevent the connection with Seth, it has happened anyway and Alex is now connected with the first, amber-colored eyes, attitude, and all.  This is heartbreaking for the pure-blood Aiden St. Delphi.  Just when he and Alex had really found each other and their relationship was where fans of the series had been dying to see it go, when looking at Alex, it’s Seth’s eyes that now look back at Aiden.  Deep down Aiden knows and believes that Alex is in there and he is determined to do whatever it takes to bring her back out and protect her from harm, and she’s a real heifer in this book, so you know Aiden’s got to love her to put up with her.  For me, I have always loved Aiden St. Delphi, but he has remained somewhat of an enigma thus far, with each installment in the series giving you more and more glimpses into this really hot Sentinel.  Well, in Elixir, you get to get inside Aiden’s head and really get to know him up close and personal, enabling you as the reader to connect with him and see first hand how he thinks, how he feels about his family, and how he feels about Alex.

I am now and forever will be Team Aiden.  I came to really like Seth in Pure, but Aiden has won my heart once and for all.  Another one of my favorite characters from the series that we get to see a good bit of in Elixir is Deacon St. Delphi, and I just adore him.  Lea, Luke, Solos, and Marcus all have a part in this novel, and then of course there is Apollo.  Elixir is a short novella, but it really adds a lot to the series and I would definitely encourage reading it because of the insight it gives you into Aiden St. Delphi and the events that take place after Deity and prior to Apollyon - and I'm pretty sure you'll love end up loving Aiden even more after you read it.
