Overview

As one of London's most eligible bachelors, Joshua Knight could have any woman he desires... except for one. Lavender Hale is young, beautiful and slightly silly, but Joshua finds himself drawn to her. Little does he know, Lavender's heart already belongs to a notorious rake.

One fateful day, Joshua's attention is caught by a mystery woman in a distant window. In an instant, he is smitten, and wants to know more about her. According to Lavender, the woman's name is Elizabella, and she happens to be Lavender's aunt. Infatuated with the woman in the window (and her glorious golden hair) Joshua will stop at nothing to woo the mysterious Elizabella.

But Elizabella has secrets. Many secrets. And these secrets could make their courtship difficult, if not impossible.

Elizabella is a Regency-era version of the Rapunzel story, approximately 42,000 words (sweet).

Re-read worthy. I enjoyed this very much!

It's a story of 4 people overcoming their insecurities, differences, as well as their huge age gap, saving each other and finding true love.
Elizabella Rampston was confined to her room because of her disability and "deformity". (and the fact that she is safer in there than with the company of her wrathful sister). Although she longs to go out of her room and experience the world,  she is afraid that she will be rejected by everyone because of her appearance.
Joshua Knight was able to rescue her from her "tower" of doubts and insecurities and made her realize that she is indeed very beautiful and very deserving to be loved.

Samuel Rush, Reginald Cox and Lavender Hale's story is quite interesting, you just have to read it to find out
