Overview

Did you ever want to live a different life? Or actually have a life?

The last thing Ellie Newman expected to see was her husband wrapped in the arms of a blonde. Talk about a wake-up call.

With her son almost grown, her job a bore and a husband whose hobbies don’t include her, she is ready for a change.

Out of the blue, Ellie gets a chance to live another life when she goes to New York City for the summer to escape her problems. She gets a job of sorts, pet-sitting for her friend’s cousin.

She loves New York. The parks, the food, the museums, the clubs all beckon. The only annoyance is Seth, the beast who unexpectedly shares the apartment.

Seth wants her to leave. Women are trouble and he needs to focus on his music. But she is hard to ignore, especially after they discover a mutual love of jazz. Ellie is up for a fling. After all, who can resist such a bad boy?

Ellie’s Dream is about finding your heart, finding your passion and letting go.

Meet the Author

Margie has spent most of her life with her nose in a book. She takes breaks to work, raise her daughter and perform other necessary functions. But she resents the intrusion. She has mastered the art of reading at bowling alleys, roller skating rinks and Chuck E. Cheese. She tried reading in a movie theater once, but the itty-bitty book light was too bright.

One afternoon in 2002 she bought the same book for the third time. Maybe the voices in her head were right. It was time to try this writing thing. She started small, short stories and such. Two years later her first novel was written.

Margie realized that the voices in her head were not manifestations of a deeply psychotic mind, but characters who needed their stories told. At least she hopes that’s what they are.

Every time she opens a book, whether a familiar old friend, or an undiscovered treasure, the thrill is there. She hopes to write stories that give readers the same thrill.

She lives in upstate New York. The lights of her life are her husband of twenty years and her beautiful daughter.

Margie loves to hear from her readers. Contact her at www.margiewilson.com.
