Ellie was celebrating her third birthday soon, and-wow-was she excited!
Her mother was planning a party for her with her friends, Samuel, Blake, Anna, and Sidney.
Her mother made a cake with yellow frosting. This was Ellie's absolute favorite color! She also gave Ellie a yellow balloon with "Happy Birthday" written on it.
Her friends arrived at the party with gifts in hand: a purse, a bracelet, a doll, and some crayons. Ellie's mother and father gave her a beautiful dollhouse.
It was time for cake. Ellie blew out the candles, and everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to her. This was such a happy time to be with her family and friends on such a special day.
It was a perfectly beautiful day, and her mother suggested they all go outside to play. As Ellie opened the door, her yellow balloon quickly flew out the door.
Ellie gasped and yelled, "Mommy, my balloon is floating away!"
Her mother and father came running out to see what all the commotion was about. There stood Ellie and her friends looking upward as the balloon slowly drifted away.
As they all watched, a slight breeze lifted the balloon out of sight.
