Elmer and the Dragon is the second book of a trio about Elmer Elevator and a baby dragon. In the first book, My Father's Dragon, Elmer saves the baby dragon from captivity by wild animals by cleverly tricking them. This second book continues with Elmer and the dragon being blown by a storm to the island of lost canaries. The stop a "plague" of curiosity. The third book, Dragons of Blue Land, is about Elmer saving the dragon's family. My 7 year old grandson is captivated when I read these books to him, just like I was when I was his age. The books are clever and fast paced to hold children's attention. I highly recommend these books.
