    Pride, Prejudice, and Humor -- a Fantastic mix

    Ed Greenwood is one of my favorite authors because he expertly blends drama together with humor. More than that, he takes the most fantastical characters and then makes them seem more human. Even the mighty elves of Myth Drannor have their human side, and here comes a human mage to challenge their prejudice against humanity.

    Hilarity and drama ensues.

    A good read

    I really liked this book as well the previous and the latter. However, I wished I could have seen more of elminster in action as opposed to 1/3 of the book being dedicated to his spritual journey and apprenticeship. It is as if you are waiting for this wizard to live up to what you would expect from someone who had a god powering him; instead it seems as if someone is always besting him in combat. Other then that, I really enjoy the character that is emlinster and hope to see more books with him in the future.

    Sweet

    This is one of those books that once you start reading you cant put it down. I enjoyed the plot and the characters and I really like the way he describes the use of magic.

    I'm hooked

    This was the first Forgotten Realms I read and now I am hooked. I can't get enough about this wonderfully imaginative storyline and land. I recommend this book for anyone who is looking for something new to read.
