Overview

Share a Sesame Street story as only you can. Record a Story: Sesame Street, Together at Heart enables family and friends to read a story to children even when they can't be there in person. Grandparents and other special people in a child's life can create a personal memento across the miles with this keepsake storybook. Your voice will be saved in these pages for little ones to enjoy again and again.

This unique storybook featuring Elmo and his Sesame Street friends plays your personalized recording as the child turns each colorful page. Each time a child turns the page, a lively musical tune plays, and the child hears the loved one's voice reading the story. There's an audio message from Elmo himself on the book's dedication page.

Record a Story: Sesame Street, Together at Heart is easy to set up. Follow these directions:
• Turn to the page you wish to record.
• Press the RECORD button. Listen to the instructions. When you hear a beeping sound, read the words on the page.
• After you are finished reading the page, press STOP. You can re-record until you are satisfied with your recording. Repeat the process with the remaining pages of the book.
• Set the locking switch behind the screw-on plate to ensure that your recording won't be inadvertently erased. Your voice recording is permanent; it will not be lost when the book's batteries are changed. Three replaceable AAA batteries come with the book.

This recordable storybook was designed for children ages 18 months to 3 years. It is a wonderful gift idea for out-of-town relatives, a parent who is away from home frequently, or someone in the military assigned to a faraway land.

I was so excited when I found this recordable book. What a wonderful gift for our grandchild who lives in another state. However, I am totally dissatisfied it. It skips pages and plays the recording for another page. I've tried re-recording a few times.... still no better.

I got this book for my niece for Christmas because my husband and I live far away and we want her to have something to remember us by. We had some difficulty recording (as I have heard a few people say) and I figured out the trick. The holes close to the spine measure light and use that to determine what page you are on. Our bedroom is poorly lit but when we went into the dining room we had no problem recording and playing back the recording. My 2 and a half year old niece also has no problem playing the book. My sister has informed me that she loves it and opens it on her own and talks to us and blows kisses at the end of the book. Great way to keep close to kiddos who aren't so near.

I am so disappointed with this book. I bought it on line before Christmas, but didn't have time to record it then...decided to wait for my grandson's January birthday when I would have "more time" to devote to it. I spent approx 2 hours trying to get it to record properly. It would record on wrong pages; not let you have the option to record on other pages; first pages in the book did not work AT ALL!! Desperate, I called the store to see if they had any in stock. They had one..got it but had to pay more for it. Got it home...SAME PROBLEM!!! I have probably spent close to 4 hours trying to get ONE of these two books to record...with no luck. A couple pages did ok, but it's worthless if the whole book doesn't work. I tried to record it in different rooms, flat on a table, with adequate light...as it said to do. I plan to return the one I bought in the store, but I am screwed with the one I bought on line. GOOD IN THEORY....IF IT WORKED....BUT IT DIDN'T. SOOOOOOOOO DISAPPOINTED. Bad thing is that I ordered the Toy Story one for my other grandson...haven't done it yet and am AFRAID TO TRY!!!!! So frustrating! Elmo would have been so cute if it had worked properly.
