My 5 year old loves this book!

Yes this book is not full of beautiful traits you'd like your child to have...but it is fictional and for my 5 yr.old daughter who has just started to read on her own, she absolutely loves it. She read it 10 times when she got it and thought it was Really hillarious! I am excited that she has found a book that she truly enjoys reading and improving her own reading skills! I've bought other 'educational' ready to read books and they did Not keep her interest at all, and some of them she did not even want to try. I think it's so important to find a book that your child will really enjoy to encourage reading! Afterwards we talk about what things Eloise did that were not very good choices, she knows the difference.

Actually rated to high, should be 0 stars

The most ridiculous story I've ever read. How someone can come up with it. It's a first grader book about a spoiled rich 6 or 7-year old kid who lives with her nanny in the penthouse of a hotel while her mommy is mostly away (that's exactly what it reads in the book). None of the Eloise's actions in the book are admirable (for instance breaking things and pushing all the elevator buttons without getting in trouble by the nanny). When in the end she destroys the whole hotel's kitchen she and nanny go back upstairs and Eloise orders roomservice on her creditcard while telling nanny she doesn't have to learn anything. This book has no educational value besides the fact that it has words in it. Do not waste your time and money on this junk.
