Love contemporary/bestselling fantasy? Read this series!

Great free read for fantasy enthusists. Builds plot, characters & mysterious storyline. The ending was suspense-filled. Their powers remind me of X-men. No profanity in book. Just finished reading Ember Shadow Fall 2nd book in Ember series. Looking forward to all 6. So far has X-men superpowers, romance, demons, angellike people, kidnappings, twists, other realms & realistic characters. Tray's character is the best one. He's like an overly protective dad, cool gypsy with wiley street smarts. His relationship with Ember has various ties & themes. People who like reading bestselling contemporary fantasy will really like this series.

    Interesting concept-Overly detailed.

I liked the premise of the book, but finally had to stop reading because the descriptions went on, and on, and on. If the author were to tighten up the writing it would be a much better book. I would suggest having an editor look it over...

    Good read

Good book however I agree with others that the author tends to repeat information & has an obsessive misuse of where commas belong! (Even more evident in the 2nd & 3rd books). Can be confusing at times as you aren't sure at first which character's perspective your reading when a new chapter begins. My advice to the author would be to label each chapter with the name of whose perspective it's in as other books do. It would really help readers like myself not to be confused and have to back-track all the time!

    a nice twist

Though some parts were a bit long. I really enjoyed the stiry and the characters. Its also nice to have a series that has more than one or two books that continue the story. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

I liked the plot and the story but the highlighting of words was annoying. Writting the two main characters in the first person was just poor writing. Some of the dialog was very poor and never in real life a teen would speak that way to another teen. This not a book that I would reccomend.

Too much repetition & extraneous detail!!!!!!!

This nook book is over 1000 pages. I was excited about that fact until I started reading. The premise is really great. The plot is intriguing and even exciting at times. The main characters are overly explained. The secondary characters are weak. After 600 pages, I skimmed and read dialogue only. The Twilight series has long books, but I couldn't put them down. Ember, not so much. I'm glad it's free.

    Interesting.

Good, engaging premise and character development. The authors odd usage of italicized text and exclamation marks were distracting and felt juvenile. However, the narrator is juvenile, so i cant tell if this is intentional or misuse. Still pretty good.
