I'm in love.....and I don't know where to start. First off, I want to shake the author silly for making me cry, I wasn't expecting that. The story took you from curiousity, intrigued, emotional, with a bit of tearful moments and then to sexual. If you are debating reading this, then read the sample for your kindle, it gives the first three chapters, so that should wet your appetite enough to want to read it. This isn't your watered down, no storyline BDSM, it had substance to it. If you can't stand the heat, the content and language within this book, put down the book and walk away slowly.

Julianna a.k.a Emerald, has been at Genesis for four years and is getting frustrated as she has yet to find a Dom who will take her, and being the only one without a Dom is starting to become a bit embarrassing. On the verge of an attack, she is rescued by the man she's been seeing in her dreams, Mika, a fine specimen of a man I might add. I won't say who Mika is as it's apart of the excitement for me when he rescues her. By chapter five, curiosity, mix with a bit of excitement starts flowing in to my reading, not because of what happen to Julianna, but who. The chemistry and emotional pull between Mika and Julianna was good for me because it wasn't just another BDSM story, but it also felt like a true love story and that's what tug at my heart. The hospital scene, I was all over the place. I commend the author on how she conveyed the hospital scene to me as a reader. In that moment and scene, I was thinking to myself, it almost felt like everything happen for a reason for Mika and Julianna to bring them to that point. Pretty much after that, sexual enjoyment exploded within the pages and Mika and Julianna's Dom and Sub characters went to another level.

What also made this story, the secondary characters of club Genesis, a freaky bunch, that's what they all are, hehehe. You can definitely tell they were not just friends but consider each other family and I love that. The surprise for me was Emile, Mika's father. I selfishly wanted to keep reading a bit more about him and this personal assistant.

Overall, a brilliant read for me personally and I can truly say that I enjoyed this story from chapter one right down to the epilogue.

I was hooked by the roller-coaster of emotions I felt as I turned the pages. ~Under the Covers

Julianna is a CPA by day, but a trained submissive known as Emerald by night. She’s been hurt by a less than genuine Dom in the past and has longed to find her One, the Dom of her dreams. For years, Julianna has been visited in her dreams by a mysterious Dom. But he has yet to appear to her at her BDSM club, Genesis. She’s grown frustrated and embarrassed that after years of looking, no one at Genesis has approached her with the intent to claim her as His own. After a traumatic assault at the Club one night, Julianna is rescued by Mika, the veiled owner of Genesis. She’s shocked to realize the Mika IS the Dom of her dreams, her fantasy come true. But Mika has ghosts of his own that make giving his heart to another slave beyond what he can handle. Julianna wants nothing more than to submit to Mika with her heart, soul, and body. But in becoming not just a sub but a slave, will she loose her very self in the process?

This was my first work by Jenna Jacob and I was hooked by the roller-coaster of emotions I felt as I turned the pages. I happen to love first person perspectives and the deep emotional connections they allow me to create with the main character. This was no exception. Julianna is a complex. Despite years in the lifestyle, she has reservations about her ability to handle certain aspects of Master/slave relationships. I really loved the genuine feel I got from her as a character, her hesitancy and uncertainty. She’s a bit of a brat which I found endearing. She’s no tame submissive. The traumatic experience leading up to Julianna and Mika’s first encounter was difficult to read and I applaud the author’s acknowledgement of real Doms versus predators in the BDSM world. Mika is wonderful: a big, beautiful Dom with an equally large heart. He’s not a pushover, but one of the more gentle Doms I’ve read and I felt that’s just what Julianna needed. The sex between the two is soooo hot it requires alone time to read. Julianna is insatiable and Mika knows how to give her what she needs while maintaining complete control. I think the secondary characters added so much to the book. Mika’s father is a Dom in his own right and just oozes sex. The Doms and subs at the club are intriguing and I’d like to see sequels around them. For me the best BDSM books really delve into the psychology of submission, packing a big emotional punch and this one made me cry! I want a Mika of my own!

This one is very sexy, but that's not the end of it. The characters are strong, and the story line is entertaining and surprisingly romantic. I think it will appeals to romance and erotica fans. There's a little mystery too, adding a fair amount of tension to the plot.

This book lured me in. It's not your typical Dom/Sub book, which was nice. What I mean is, there's more to the characters in this story. It's not ALL about the sex scenes...though you do have them-but, they are done with taste. I enjoyed it! Happy reading!

    Highly Recommended!

I loved this book. It makes you laugh, cry, hope, and dream. It is not another porn book. This story has a plot line, twists and turns, as well as, very well developed characters. This will be one to reread a lot.

Embracing My Submission was one of the most amazing BDSM book I have ever read. The way Jenna so accurately shows the real word of bdsm in this book is outstanding. There are players, goofballs and plain scary guys but behind all of that there is genuine aftercare from loving Doms and Masters and that is always very important. One of the most amazing things is the way Jenna describes the differences between a slave and a submissive, a Dom and a Master.

I truly loved this book and I highly recommend it for those in the lifestyle and for those who want to learn. This is such a wonderful adventure and journey of one submissive woman. I laughed, I cried and I had to use some extra batteries when Jenna set fire to my kindle with the scorching words. There were dark points where I wanted to stop reading but I couldn’t stop. I was so entwined with this book I read it in a couple of hours. I was totally engrossed.

Jenna has such a way with words that kept me turning the pages faster and faster wanting- no needing to know what happens next! I adored Emerald and Drake but then Mika… damn. I’ve got a new book boyfriend for sure! I LOVED this book and I know you will too! 1Click it now and don’t wait! Oh guess what? There are more books already out! No waiting! Just clicking!! Haha! Meet the Dom’s of Genesis for yourself!

    Captivating read

I'm not sure if this was the first in this series or not, but I was extremely satisfied with this book. Following along Julliana's journey was quite an emotional ride. It's refreshing to see someone with so much tragidy in there life to not let all the emotional and physical pain hold them back. The support system (Emerald) Julliana has with each person in her life is beautiful in and of itself. Watching Mika struggle with his beliefs and the longing he has for Julianna made me want to skip to the epilogue just to see if they end up with each other. I am now going to read the rest in this series. Also, the book is superbly written and amazingly I found only to typos.

    Pretty good!

The grammer, sentance structure felt awkward at times. Some of the characters inner dialouge felt drawn out. That being said, I did enjoy the book and would try more in the series.

I absolutely loved this book! Jenna amazed me with Julianna and Mika's story. These two were living in
their own personal hell before meeting one another. It was fascinating to see them go through their
individuals struggles and come out okay on the other side. I felt bad for them both. It seemed that
happiness was right in their reach but neither knew how to grab it. I can't wait to start Masters of My
Desires. Jenna is an author that doesn't disappoint her readers. I've read series with Shayla Black and
Isabella LaPearl (Doms of Her Life), and I'm anxiously anticipating the release of The Bold and the
Dominant. I highly recommend both of these series to others!

    Not very good

While I read several books a week including D/s unfortunately I found this one poorly written with shallow characters. The female lead isnt hardheaded& stubborn (quoted from the book) but spoiled & whiney. I wasn't able to connect to the male characters either so didn't finish the book. In all my years of reading I can count on one hand the number of books I didn't read to their conclusion but this is ine of them. Disappointing especially after reading the other reviews that gave the big thumbs up...

Oh good God! Another BDSM! Really? Another woman being bound and beaten, and is weak minded enough she thinks the man abusing her loves her? I'm so sick of this genre. I'll be so very glad when good books come back in style, and not  abuse against women that is being passed off as erotic love stories.
