Crossing the Finish Line of Hope and Recovery is Closer Than You Ever Dreamed...

Embracing the Journey of Recovery is a dynamic and inspirational guide with a refreshingly distinctive and spiritual approach. Dr. Smith states that hope is a major key to recovery but having a balanced approach of mind, body and spirit is just as imperative. The author is adamant that chemical dependency be considered a disease which is just as devastating as cancer. His courage to confront a sensitive and controversial issue adds significant impact to his manuscript. This guide is a refreshing change in comparison to other recovery books that I have read, which so often deal with a simple step by step guide, ignoring the pain and agony that one must pass through in order to reach his/her goal. I especially appreciated Dr. Smith's description of Donny and Joan's experiences from the beginning of their problem and the author's explicit description of their struggle in their attempt to overcome their seemingly impossible situations. He has also added unexpected 'twists and turns' right to the end of the account of his two characters, which definitely makes his book stand out from other hope and recovery guides. If the readers follow Dr.Smith's sincere and stirring message, they will be inspired to Embracing the 'Journey to Recovery'and transform their lives forever!
