Meet the Author

Lyman Frank Baum (May 15, 1856 – May 6, 1919) was an American author of children's books, best known for writing The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. He wrote thirteen novel sequels, nine other fantasy novels, and a host of other works (55 novels in total, plus four "lost" novels, 83 short stories, over 200 poems, an unknown number of scripts, and many miscellaneous writings), and made numerous attempts to bring his works to the stage and screen. The Emerald City of Oz is the most exciting book ever!It is based on the classic The Wizard of oz.This book is the perfect book for young readers.Dorothy and her aunt and uncle move to Ozbut the Nome King wants his magic belt back that Dorothy and Ozma stole so he plans an attack against the people of Oz.It may be challenging for readers 4th grade or under.Above average students will most likely know or guess what will happen next.I think that The Emerald City of Oz is a stupendous book because they go on adventures and meet so many different kinds of creatures and things. For example when Dorothy and her friends meet all the people of Oz made of food or puzzle pieces or even paper! If you want an intresting fantasy to read this one is the one!It will take your breath away!~!~!~!
