Overview

Emerson Drive, a band of Canadian transplants, eases right into the Music Row pocket with its first effort, a collection of amiable tunes delivered with polish and some degree of drama. What's most refreshing is that the band wrote hardly any of it; with so many non-performing writers in Nashville, it's a blessing to find a self-contained group that doesn't have to inflict its own mediocre material on the world. On the other hand, the gloss and lyrical predictability of these songs doesn't prove that the non-performing writers are necessarily that much more gifted. On balance, with its ebullient spirit, agreeably rough-edged vocal harmonies, and fluid fiddle fills from Pat Allingham, {|Emerson Drive">Emerson Drive">{|Emerson Drive is about as strong a debut as one can expect, given the narrow stylistic rules imposed on the genre.

Ohhh baby...this is the country CD of the year! I first heard of Emerson Drive when I saw them on a radio promotion concert. I am so excited that their CD is out now! I picked it up this morning and it's amazing. They are the best things to ever come out of Canada! Every single song on the CD is amazing. Richard Marx produced two songs that are great. This is just a really fun, light hearted CD that's really uplifting. Emerson Drive has the musical style that I think will appeal to all kinds of listeners. You can tell from their songs that the guys have an array of musical influences that make their music super hot. Check this CD out. I guarantee you'll never look at country the same

Wow! What can I say about this cd? These guys are just awesome. Having waited patiently as the release date kept getting postponed, I am so glad it's finally here! (I bought myself 3 of their cds on it's release date!) With most cd's, there is one song that is my favorite, however with this one, I honestly cant pick just one. I absolutely love ''Passionate Desperate'' ''Light of Day'' and ''I See Heaven''. I promise you will love this cd! I do!

This is one the best country cds I have heard in a long time. There isn't a bad song on the disc. These guys have a fresh sound and if this album is any indication, they'll be around for a long time to come.

This CD has everything you need. It has attitude and is edgy. Every song is different with that attitude of this band. I really enjoy listening to it when ever I can.

I believe these are the next best thing to happen to country music. They have there own sound and it stands out very much. They will go far with their music.

Well, well, well....where to start? All these songs are great. There, I said it. They kind of seem the same after a while, since they all are happy, guy-gets-girl love songs, but what's wrong with that? The vocals are perfect and "Fall Into Me" has some awesome instrumental parts. "Light of Day" is a great love song. Definite buy!!!

This is one of my favorite CDs! The songs, from Fall into Me to It's All About You are great!! There are many lighthearted, dancy tuned songs mixed in with heart-tugging ballads! A must for any country music fan!! (They're also hot!)
