Editorial Reviews

BestChickLit.com - Noemie Verlan
It took me a while to get into this book, although the engaging characters eventually won out and pulled me slowly in. I then found myself thinking about the characters constantly, I couldn’t put the book down and had to make extra time to read.

The Tech Guy is eloquently written and allowed my imagination to run riot. Even though something felt out of balance as I was reading, it pushed me further into the book and I couldn’t wait to get to the big reveal. No clues were s

Meet the Author

I've been creating stories my whole life, but only for me, in my own head. Then one day I sat down and started to write a book. I completed my first novel, In Search of Lucy, in February of 2011.

My second full-length novel, Vigil Annie, was released on in December of 2012! One reviewer called this thriller "suspenseful, well-crafted, and fast paced."

I recently completed my first Chick Lit/comedy, Emma vs. the Tech Guy, now available.

My other works include a mystery series (A Hint of Murder) and a short, sweet romance (Special Delivery).

I was born and raised in Southern California and hold a bachelor's degree in journalism and a multiple subject teaching credential. I'm a wife and mother of two teenagers.

This was a quick read for me. Definitely not a heavy serious book, although it does have it's merits! I enjoyed the story very much. Emma is quite a go getter! I liked that about her. She has a secret (as per the blurb) that she guards at all costs. This secret is what drives the story. You want to know what it is. You get little hints here and there, which is awesome. It keeps you kind of thinking about it and guessing.

I was entertained. There are some good characters here and a good story.

**I like this cover versus the others!

**i received a free copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

This was a fun and entertaining read. I really liked the main character, Emma. She's upbeat and very contemporary… like someone who might be working in my office. The twist at the end surprised me. Will this chick lit/romance change your life? Probably not. But it's a book that will keep you thoroughly entertained.

Emma is the second in command for a magazine that is doing well, but isn't quite up to speed electronically.  Her boss brings in someone without quite consulting her and she is not quite happy with this addition to the staff.  Pair that with drama in her home life and Emma has some drama headed her way.

Without the major twist at the end of the book, I would not have liked this book as much.  As I can not reveal any parts of the twist, I may have to keep this review short and simple.  This was a great quick read and was perfect to read during the Bout of Books read a thon!

    Painful

This story has potential, but everything is told to the reader. I felt like I was listening to a friend who didn't know how to tell a good story and so told everything.
