Henry Zou Emperor's Mercy is a different view of the inquisition

Henry Zou Emperor's Mercy is a different view of the inquisition as a subtle force. A good bit of GW fluff!!

    Not a masterpiece

Not exactly the best book I've read, but nonetheless a great book to read while sitting on the toilet. This book starts out fairly entertaining, but soon becomes quite mundane. There seems to be quite a bit of filler material for most of the book. I found myself trying very hard to just make through the pages, so I could move on to another book. The main character of this book should have been an Imperial Guard Officer instead of a member of The Inquisition. The storyline is more about shooting and blowing things up, rather than how the Inquisition goes about their way of doing things. The author of this book is a member of the Australian Army, so a great deal of the context is about the structure and planning or battles. Quite dry, too. Not a lot of details. Very confusing regarding the Chaos army they are fighting also and all the planets they keep going back and forth to. I am undecided whether I would recommend this book. But if you run out of toilet paper while you are reading, hey, at least you can just rip a page out and use it instead.

    more from this reviewer

    this book...

This book lived up to its expectations! Well done Mr Zou!

It was suspenseful, thrilling and well written.

Plot and character development was brilliant.

Would recommend to anyone, even those who aren't fans of military thrillers!

    Great read.

Great book. Although different that other books of the Inquisition, it compliments nicely.
