Stephen “Kelly” Grayson has seen the best of us at our worst. When hearts stop working, when blood alcohol levels exceed limits we shouldn’t contemplate, when bodies are extricated from car wrecks, he’s been there to pick up the pieces, save our lives, and watch us slip away. His touching stories of life and death and the hilarious ones of times in between are here to give us an insight of what happens after we call 911, the ambulance doors close, or even what happens inside the ER when the nurse shows the family to the waiting room.

I am a professional Firefighter/Paramedic in a large suburb of Big-D. Kelly hits the nail on the head in all of his stories. I have experienced most if not all of his same situations and he describes them in words better then I ever could. He really gives the paramedics perspective. Any non-medic will love the way Kelly makes you feel like a fly on the wall of the ambulance.

After being in the fire and ems business for over 15 years most of these stories I can relate to calls I've been so many times. Sometimes to many times. .....

Kelly Grayson has two books out... I gave the first book I read 5 stars.... It was great! So I'm giving this 5 stars, too, because it's the same book word for word! Same chapter names, same stories, same number of pages, etc.... I'm glad it was free! I would be very upset to think I had a new book of stories and it is exactly the same as the other. This one was published in 2009 and named " Enroute - A Paramedics Story....". The other book was published in 2010 and named "A Paramedics Story...", without the title "Enroute" on it. Really disappointed!

If stories about the daily life an ambulance crew interests you, this is a lively and fun read. The writer has an ego, but for the most part it doesn't carry him away.
