Overview

Far from the Realm of Faerie, a quest to save immortality . . .

A deadly plague is sweeping through Faerie, and no one is immune to its bite. Now, with the guidance of the Dream Weaver, Tania, Rathina, and a mortal ally, Connor, must head off to find the Divine Harper—the only one who can help Tania renew the Faerie Covenant of Immortality. Their quest will soon take them outside the borders of Faerie, to hostile and unwelcoming lands beyond.

On their travels, Tania and her companions encounter danger at every turn as they battle pirates, contend with mysterious and mystical beings, and try to outwit those under the sinister grip of the Dark Arts. But when Tania's beloved Edric appears, it looks as if they have help at last. Or do they? As tensions and dangers rise, Tania is forced to question everything and everyone around her in order to decide if she is prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice to save her loved ones.

Editorial Reviews

ALA Booklist
Praise for the Faerie Path series:“There’s enough mystery, suspense, and romance to carry readers...girls fond of magical princess stories won’t be disappointed.”
Children's Literature - Kristina Cassidy
In the fifth title in the "Faerie Path" series, faerie princess Tania embarks on a quest to save her people from a deadly plague. After centuries of immortality, the people of Faerie are dying and the only way to stop it is to renew King Oberon's pact with the Divine Harper. The Harper lives far across the sea and Tania must journey with her sister Rathina and friend Connor through dangerous lands to find him. Along the way she must face her feelings for her true love, Edric, who has betrayed her. Elements of standard fantasy and the hero's quest are mixed with flowery writing and limited character development. The gritty details of the journey are absent, as characters rarely sleep and eat three meals in the whole book. While Tania is not a helpless princess, coincidence and magical assistance factor heavily into her success. A very brief introduction provides an overview of the events of the previous book. However, Tania's half-mortal status is not well explained, and some elements are confusing if you have not read the whole series. Readers who enjoy princesses who do more than wait to be rescued will enjoy this book. Reviewer: Kristina Cassidy

The Enchanted Quest by Frewin Jones

This is one of the best books in the Faerie Path series. I enjoyed it very much. I would not recommend reading this book if you have not read the other four because frankly it would not make any sense. The other four books are just as thrilling and beautiful as this one, and I think that they are worth reading multiple times. I have shared this series with my friends and they both love it too. The book is filled with excitement, magic, and romance. Tania's love, Edric, comes back to her after leaving to become a general in Wier. He vows to protect her and he says he will love her for all of eternity. (And he really means eternity, because all of the people in Faerie are Immortal) But Tania's companions, her sister Rathina and her friend Connor, are not so quick to trust him, because he has been dipping his toes in the Dark Arts. They say that he is addicted and will use them whenever he gets the chance. Tania, however, trusts that he will not use them and her trust stays strong throughout their journey through Erin and Tirnanog to find the Divine Harper. This story is about love, strength, and courage. I highly recommend reading this book.(But not before you read the first four)
    Loving vibes and virtual kisses,
    Sophie

    Will Tania return to Faerie?

Edric is using the dark arts and Tania is worried he will turn out like Gabriel Drake! Will Edric fail her? They have completed their mission. Now Tania must pay the price! Will she ever remember Faerie again? Action packed and truly hearthbreaking, making the readers beg to get their hands on the sixth book!!!!:()

A strange and mysterious illness is taking over the land of Faerie, and a member of the royal family falls ill. Tania must go on a journey to find the cure. Her family, and the people of her land, are counting on her. The mortal Connor and Rathina, Tania's sister, accompany her on the trip. The trio encounter many challenges and surprises they must overcome. Will Tania be able to find the cure? Or will she let her people down? Wow! What a journey! There were so many obstacles that Tania and her traveling mates had to deal with. There are several surprises in this one. Some of the challenges are unexpected, and one member of the group is not completely honest. But I won't give away who! Once again, there are so many things that I don't want to ruin that it's hard to review this book. I'll just say that I really enjoyed it. I flew through it and easily got caught up in the world of Faerie. And the ending - I definitely did not see that coming at all! I really want to read the next book in the series, THE CHARMED RETURN, but I guess I'll have to wait until it comes out.

An awesome book and series... =)

Frewin Jones really knows how to do cliff hangers!! If you've read the first four books of the series, you'll absolutely love this one! I can tell when a book is very catchy because the author keeps you glued in by getting mad at him or her! Tania makes difficult decisions in this book that can change the fate of all of Faerie and more! The abrupt turns that you don't always see coming, yet are hinted in ways that are easily passed-over are stunning! I definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a fun, quick read!
