What did you want to be when you grew up? Encounters 5 contains the story, Que Sera, Sera, a humorous peek at a girl's childhood dreams. It is a baby boomer looking back at her life, educational for the non boomers and nostalgic for the rest of us. The story begins in Iowa, 1952 and ends, like many of us in Florida, 2015.

About the Author

Joyce started writing at an early age when her mother told her to write down her thoughts, crumple up the paper, and throw it away. Little did she know her mother read each and every one! Joyce self-published her first book of short stories March, 2014 at the urging of her high school gal pals whom she reconnected with last fall after forty-five years of silence. Although her profession is that of a visual arts teacher, she finds writing to be a fresh creative outlet that she enjoys immensely.
