    Great Book

I love this book but it has a few mistakes like 'affection levels'. Every dog has its own 'affection level'. For instance, I know a rat terrier that is so sweet, but I also know one that isn't very nice. The nice one's name is Lucky but we call her Looly. But yeah...altogether it's a awesome book.

    Excellent!

What a great and comprehensive book! Not only is the information general enough for those of all ages, but it is informative enough for those who are more knowledgable on the subject of dogs!

    Great Book!!

I have a lot of dog and cat books, on many various breeds of dogs. My cat books I have are mainly on cat care. One however is on all cat breeds. I have many dog books, but all my dog books before were all on separate breeds. I've been looking on a book on all dog breeds, and I'm super glad I got this!! Wonderful find!

    Great informative book

We were in the market for a new dog, and this book was a lifesaver. It does a great job of describing the advantages/disadvantages of each dog breed. My only complaint is some of the photos don't depict the breed very accurately. Sometimes it uses two photographs of the same dog, and it should show another dog.

    Great Guide to dog breeds

This is a great guide to 150 dog breeds registered by the akc. In each two page spread it includes ratings on energy level, upkeep, guard ability, managibility, and many more. It also includes the history of the dogs breeding and temperment. Within the pages color photographs along with AKC breed standard. This would be a great book for someone looking for a dog, or someone who just wants to olearn more about dogs like me!

    a reviewer

This book has lots of good information on almost every dog you can think of. They tell you about the history of the dog, temerament, upkeep, health, form and function, and even tells you were it originated from, what year it originated and much more. I even has a chart that tells you the energy level, exercise requirements, playfulness, affection level, friendliness toward dogs, friendliness toward other pets, friendliness toward strangers, ease of training, watchdog ability, protection ability, grooming requirements, cold tolerance, and heat tolerance. Can you Believe it has all that information in it! It has good clear pictures of the dog in color. I think it is the most organized and best book that I've read and owned.
