Editorial Reviews

Library Journal - Library Journal
Champion bodybuilder and actor Schwarzenegger has written a comprehensive book on the sport of bodybuilding. There is a wealth of information for neophytes as well as for the accomplished. After a short history of the subject there are chapters on the basics of bodybuilding. Suggestions for training are given with specific methods and exercises for beginners and for the advanced. There are sections on various parts of the body and what exercises are good for each. Nutrition, diet, and injuries and their treatment are also covered. A chapter on steroids, with their positive and negative effects, is a welcome addition. Hundreds of photographs illustrate the text. Recommended as a thoughtful treatment of bodybuilding. David L. Mills, Brooklyn P.L., New York
