I purchased this Encyclopedia with the hopes of learning more about my Native american heritage. It had great illustrations and is easy to read and understand. No complexity. Being Shoshone, there's little to read and is very difficult to find a lot of information regarding the Shoshone, Western or not. However, my husband is Cherokee and was still interesting to read. I read about other tribes and their customs, traditions and such. I will keep this book for life and hope my children find some answers inside as well. This was worth every penny and would recommend it to anyone researching their Native American Heritage.

I haven't yet had the time to read much in this book, but what I have read was very informative and helpful. It was also easy to read without bogging me down with exacting minutiae, and the maps are great so I know what tribes live in what region of the continental United States. Keep up the good work and make another one, perhaps with information from some of the tribes you missed in this book. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
