Overview

Book 2 in the Necessary Roughness series.

Jack has a problem. He just awoke after a night of wild sex . . . with a man. His libido is on the rampage and threatens his dream of an NFL career. Desperate for a solution, he turns to Tawny, the love of his life, and asks her to become his wife and his Mistress-to curb and control his overactive sex drive.

Though leery of the BDSM scene, Tawny agrees. Jack will become her sex slave and she'll keep him in chastity, his cock caged and totally hers to command. They relish their new roles. Jack's NFL career leads them to Rebels' Roost, a safe place where they can play out any BDSM fantasy they want and safely satisfy Jack's bisexual desires. They plan to introduce a permanent third into their sex games. But, does Jack still want that, or is Tawny's love all he really needs?

Publisher's note: this story contains an intensely sexual M/M/F ménage scene and a hot, loving M/M scene.

Looking for love in all the wrong places?

Jack is a football with a penchant for sex. After a night he barely remembers, but knows he slept with another man, he asks his girlfriend for a favor: become his wife and mistress, and place a chastity device on him. Tawny gets used to the idea of mastering her husband as they move to Georgia and use Jack's new team BDSM club for fun. She also knows Jack has fantasies of a third and invites Ty, the mystery man they encountered in a Chicago club and Jack's teammate, to join them.

The story is good and relationships have meaning, but it takes a while to understand the characters. Their issues are on the surface, and there isn't enough depth to them to fully empathise with their situations. Comments are made about Jack and Tawny's familys having issues with his career and their interracial marriage, but it was quite a while to figure that Ty wasn't just sarcastic and had problems with Jack. The story can also be blocky and short in areas it could have elaborated more. That's why I give the book 3.5 stars.

There are M/M and F/M/M scenes in this book. Discussions of non-typical, aka not usually encountered, fetishes are prevalent throughout the book. This was a good thing because it brings out a positive message regarding healthy sexual behavior between consentual adults even if it isn't something most people would want to attempt.

    Fantastic Read

Take a walk on the wild side and a peek into the preferred lifestyle of a rich and famous NFL player. Who'd have thought 'golden boy' Jack Winters, with the dream career, would need a cock cage to control a raging libido, a need to be dominated and a lust to use and abuse his team-mates, in the most wicked of ways possible...

Never comfortable with his bisexual cravings, Jack realizes after an encounter, that his sexual needs could effectively end his career before it ever becomes a reality. Only with the help of the woman he loves, who agrees to master and marry him, does Jack see an end to his torment. Although Tawny is not a natural Domme, she readily accepts her role and soon learns to appreciate it in all its many and varied nuances. But it's the love between the two of them that's almost palpable, and the complete trust they each have in the other, that makes this story shine. Only Jack's continued need for a male third for him to top could possibly threaten what they already have.

Enter Ty Daily, another NFL player a man with an attitude and a secret desire, to be the bottom Jack hungers for. How Jack, Tawny and Ty handle a possible relationship, the discoveries they all make along the way, about themselves and each other, makes for an interesting and entertaining read. It's deep and emotional. It's complicated and there are others involved and always the threat that real secrets may inadvertently be uncovered and spell the end of their careers. It's an incredibly moving story about love and the expression of it, through domination and submission.

Ann Jacobs writes with heart. Her characters are everyday people, who find themselves in extraordinary circumstances and dealing with a reality, which for many of us, lies in the shadows. It's a fascinating adventure that begs further exploration and in Ms. Jacobs' capable hands, delivers.
