"The Endearment" is a tender, sensual love story, one of those rare books that was so enjoyable, I hated for it to end.

this quite possibly one of the best books I have ever read.Bar none! the characters draw you into the story and by the end you are in tears, happy but in tears. If you like historical romantic fiction with just a touch of spice.Read this book.

This is one of the first books by LaVyrle Spenser and have since read all her books. I wish she would return to writing as she is one of my favorite writers. I really enjoyed this book as I live in Minnesota and related to it from the very firdt page......

I love this author and bittersweet is one of my all time fav books ever.... but i couldnt even get all the way through this book. It was boring and the characters just didn .t connect with me enough that i even care to read the rest of the book. I almost never do not finish a book and i so wanted to love these characters but it just never happened. Totally upset that i paid so much for this book when i could have spent my.money on a more deserving book that i could have finished. Sorry, this one sucked.

You can tell that a lot of research went into this book and though the characters are great, it lacked the depth and quality of her other work. I love her books and have even read some twice, but I am glad this one is over.

Thin story line. Just wanted to get to the end of the book so I could read something else. I have enjoyed other LaVyrle Spencer books but this one just seemed to go on and on--will they ever have sex or won't they???? That was about the whole storyline.

This was a wonderful story. It revolved building trust. Two very lonely people come together through a lot of angst. I will read it over and over again. I wish I could hear Karl talking to me as he does the other characters in the book.

I am a huge LaVyrle Spencer fan, and this one did not disappoint. It's the story of a mail-order bride who isn't what he ordered, but just what he needed. It's the story of forgiveness and moving on. The characters were flawed, but lovable. I'll read this one more than once.
