Overview

Does the journey toward finding a mate for life have to be filled with anxiety? desperation? fret? or regret? Not according to bestselling author Michelle McKinney Hammond who expertly navigates the choppy waters of singledom—for both men and women—and warmly encourages those stuck in the dead-end dating scene as well as those on an involuntary relationship fast that marriage could be on the horizon.

With her tell-it-like-it-is style using biblical examples, Michelle urges readers to place their need for love in perspective, take life off hold, live purposefully, and gain a basic understanding of successful relating with the opposite sex.

This unique format is presented for both sides of the single coin. Women will welcome Michelle's sisterly advice and men will appreciate the insider information. Together, they comprise the ultimate guide to successfully finding (and keeping) the love of your life.

Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Hammond, a speaker on love-driven relationships, advises Christian singles on establishing themselves as whole people and preparing themselves to be good candidates for marriage. While that information is sound, her "facts" on men and women might be debatable. She warns men against allowing women to lead in the relationship because women will never relinquish it. Likewise, she cautions women that unsaved men find dating church girls a delightful challenge and that their intentions may not be in sync with a Christian lifestyle. The biblical examples heavily sprinkled throughout are somewhat tedious; the many Bible verses are probably more helpful. There is bound to be demand for a dating guide with a Christian emphasis in many communities, so this is recommended as a set to those locations. Copyright 2005 Reed Business Information.

    Appetizers or the Main Course?

A favorable review: educational, informative, and sound, solid advice. Michelle McKinney Hammond was adept at providing valuable anecdotes for single ladies. She provided a thorough; quality book on grooming yourself to be the woman a real man would be attracted to. This is worthwhile reading even if you are not thinking marriage right now or if you would like insight for preparing yourself for future romantic relationships.

As women we sometime need a Heads-Up!!

This wonderfully written book allows women to look into the mirror and see who they are and long to be treated like Ruth from the Holy Bible. I thought I knew Ruth's story but then I read Michelle's break down of the wonderful woman and now I feel like I wanna be Ruth. This book will guide you and change your course.

    GREAT!

This is one of the best books Ive ever read. For those women who dont understand why they have yet to find a husband. For those who want a better understanding of what it takes to get a real man. For those who say I just dont understand its all here in the book.
